Autoclave Training

Autoclaves are used for sterilising materials. Autoclave training is required for all personnel wishing to use the GSBmE autoclaves.

Autoclave training outlines the basic safety work practices and is comprised of:

1. Fundamental Autoclave Techniques (FAT) PowerPoint presentation (22 MB)

2. Review of the SWP's and RA's

3. FAT Quiz - word document

4. Demonstration of GSBME Autoclave use (by arrangement with either the Lab staff or Biological Resource Manager).

5. Competency assessment.

6. Addition to your SWP and RA documents
